Seventh-Grade Preview Day
Tuesday, May 14, 2024 and Thursday, May 16, 2024 | 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Boys in seventh grade are invited to participate in a fun day of classroom challenges designed to give a taste of what St. Edward has to offer. Participants will tour campus, eat lunch, and meet current students. Participants should wear casual clothing and athletic shoes. Registration required.
NOTE: Preview day is different from our eighth-grade shadow visits, where students spend an entire school day attending real classes along with a current student.
Our May 14 preview day is now at capacity; space is available on May 16.
Admission Practice Test for Seventh Graders — Pre-HSPT
Saturday, April 20, 2024 | 9 a.m.
Private schools all over the country use the High School Placement Test as part of their admission process for eighth-grade applicants. Taking a practice version of the HSPT can be very beneficial for seventh graders, as it helps them become familiar with the test’s format and the types of questions that are asked. This preparation can reduce test anxiety and improve performance on the real exam.
The Pre-HSPT is a standardized, multiple-choice exam that measures academic abilities in the following areas: verbal skills, quantitative skills, reading, mathematics, and language.
- Testing lasts approximately three hours.
- Calculators are not permitted.
- The Pre-HSPT fee is $20 and registration is required.
Camps
Throughout the year, St. Edward offers athletic and academic camps for boys and girls of all ages.
